There's a Masonic Lodge (they used to call them "Temples") in Tzfat! YIKES!

The following information appears on the Tzfat Yahoo group for English-speakers.

"Interestingly enough there is a FreeMason building in Sefat on the road just before the Red Mosque. It has a domed roof and ancient black and white stones. It seem to be very old and the claims are that there is a Sheiykh buried inside. How did they come upon such a valuable historical building for private use? Should it not be renovated and open to the public, etc.?
And not but not least {for the conspiracy freaks} it is built of black and white stones-something the Masons{supposedly} use in their temples."

and in a continuing post...

"From the direction of the Rimon Inn, two buildings before the mosque (The Red Mosque, or HaKhan HaAdom, as it is called today - my parentheses for clarification), is an old building with a protruding dome made of black and white stone.

If you look closely on the entrance door you will see it is designated for FreeMason meetings i.e., a lodge.

"The lodge used to be in an old stone building on Rehov Jerusalem where now sits the Bank Le'umi. It was taken down circa 1980 for the new bank. The bank used to be in the store which now sells ice cream. It seems banking, even in Sefat, is profitable. The then mayor Aaron Nehmeas gave the Masons the above said building .One could assume he was affiliated with them. I received this info today from Odded HaMeiri, former mayor of Sefat and longtime resident and brother in law of former mayor Zev Pearl..."
